What leaves your machine?
Local model work, your assistant and permitted Pro advice have different data paths.
Local model work
Semanticus is operated by Kane Snyder, sole trader, Australia. The engine and VS Code extension run locally. Semanticus sends no product telemetry or usage analytics. Free runs no AI inference. A connection you choose can query Power BI, Fabric, Azure Analysis Services or a SQL source, and confirmed publishing sends the selected model definition to its destination.
Your own assistant
Your assistant connects over MCP on your account. The model details and query results it reads are handled under your agreement with that provider. That traffic does not pass through the Semanticus advice service. Semanticus does not hold your assistant’s API key. Review your client’s data policy and the assistant permission settings.
Jev and per-model permission
On Pro, Jev can make small modelling choices through the Semanticus advice service. Nothing is sent for that advice until you agree for the named model. Permission is stored outside the model files. A small marker named Semanticus_ConsentId is written into the model and can appear in a source-control commit. Permission must cover the categories used by this build; new categories require a fresh agreement.

Your controls
Use the model’s permission controls to withdraw permission. What Pro decides lets you turn individual advice choices off for that model. A choice marked not on yet cannot act. Giving your own assistant permission is separate from allowing Jev. Do not type credentials or private row values into an advice question; words are sent as typed.
Advice handling and availability
Permitted advice requests pass through the Semanticus relay to its advice provider. The local contract excludes table rows, returned values, formula text, connections, credentials and other models. The sources reviewed for this site do not establish a deployed provider-retention or training policy. Contact us before using advice with metadata that requires a verified service contract. The live advice path remains a release-verification item.
Other chosen services
Browsing packages can contact daxlib.org. Online DAX formatting contacts daxformatter.com only when you explicitly choose it and agree in the product. These are separate from Jev advice. Read each service’s terms before sharing information with it.
Payments
New Pro purchases use Stripe checkout from the app. Stripe processes the billing details needed for payment under Stripe’s privacy policy. Purchase records and contact details are used to provide the licence, support and subscription messages. For past Paddle purchases, Paddle remains the payment processor and merchant of record for those transactions under Paddle’s privacy policy. We do not send marketing email without opt-in.
This website
These static pages have no accounts, advertising or product telemetry. Fonts are self-hosted. The theme switch stores only your selected theme in your browser’s local storage. Hosting can process standard request logs for delivery and security. The site source includes no analytics script. Hosting settings may enable Cloudflare Web Analytics separately; its cookie-free measurements are described in Cloudflare’s service information.
Records, access and deletion
Support email is kept for correspondence and record-keeping. Purchase records are kept for required tax and business obligations. Ask for access or deletion at hello@semanticus.com.au; records we must retain cannot be deleted on request. The existing commitments to Australian privacy rights and equivalent EU or UK rights remain. Payment processors hold their own transaction records.
