Privacy Policy

Semanticus is operated by Kane Snyder (sole trader, Australia). The short version: the product collects nothing, and this website collects almost nothing.

1. The software

• The Semanticus engine and VS Code extension run entirely on your machine. They send no telemetry, no usage analytics, and none of your model or data to us.
• The engine holds no AI API keys and performs no AI inference. If you connect your own AI assistant over MCP, that assistant’s traffic is governed by your agreement with your AI provider — it does not pass through us.
• Connections the tool makes are the ones you ask for: your own Power BI / Fabric endpoints (authenticated with your own Microsoft Entra identity), daxlib.org if you browse packages, and daxformatter.com only if you explicitly choose online formatting (with an in-product consent prompt).

2. Purchases

Paid subscriptions are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd) as merchant of record. Paddle collects the billing details needed to complete the transaction (name, email, payment method, country for tax) under Paddle’s privacy policy. We receive from Paddle your name, email address and order details — used solely to issue your license token, provide support, and send transactional email about your subscription. We do not send marketing email without your explicit opt-in.

3. This website

• Static pages, no accounts, no advertising, no cross-site tracking, no cookies set by us.
• Our hosting provider (CDN) processes standard server logs (IP address, user agent) for security and delivery; we do not use them to identify you.
• If we later add privacy-respecting page analytics, this policy will name the provider first.

4. Email

If you email hello@semanticus.com.au we keep the correspondence for support and record-keeping.

5. Retention, access and deletion

We keep purchase records as long as tax law requires (Australia: generally 5 years). You may request a copy or deletion of the personal information we hold (excepting records we must retain by law) at the email above. We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles; if you are in the EU/UK, we honour the equivalent GDPR rights, with Paddle acting as an independent controller for the payment itself.
