Supported platforms
Semanticus 1.0.1 has five platform-specific packages. Each package includes its own engine, so a separate .NET installation is not required.
| Package | What is supported |
|---|---|
| Windows 11 x64 | Offline BIM, PBIP and TMDL models; Power BI Desktop discovery; local XMLA; local M preview; remote XMLA and Fabric features. |
| Windows 11 ARM64 | Offline BIM, PBIP and TMDL models; remote XMLA and Fabric features. |
| Ubuntu 24.04 x64 | Offline BIM, PBIP and TMDL models; remote XMLA and Fabric features. |
| macOS Intel | Offline BIM, PBIP and TMDL models; remote XMLA and Fabric features. |
| macOS Apple Silicon | Offline BIM, PBIP and TMDL models; remote XMLA and Fabric features. |
#Important boundaries
- Power BI Desktop discovery, local XMLA and local M preview require Windows 11 x64.
- Remote XMLA and Fabric features depend on the capacity, tenant settings, permissions and identity available in your environment.
- Modern calendar metadata requires compatibility level 1701 or later. Semanticus never upgrades or rewrites a classic date table without your explicit action.
- Role and object security analysis is static-first. Version 1.0.1 does not impersonate a user or role to prove dynamic RLS behaviour.
- The new
copilot/tooling format is detected but not parsed until its on-disk schema is authoritative.
Cloud writes
Fabric Git, deployment pipeline, CI/CD and Data Agent writes preview first and write only after explicit confirmation. Cloud report discovery asks for one-time consent before it reads report definitions.
